What are audio tokens & how do they work?

AUDIO tokens are staked by node operators in order to secure the network, while artists stake AUDIO tokens to access the protocol’s services. AUDIO also functions as the protocol’s governance token. What is Audius? Audius (AUDIO) is a decentralized music streaming protocol that was initially built on the POA network and now operates on Solana.

How many audio tokens are there?

The total supply of AUDIO is 1 billion tokens, with a current circulating supply of 411m AUDIO. The annual increase in supply is 7%, and 50 million AUDIO were distributed to the top 10 artists and fans, with 75% going to artists based on stream count.
